The use of Nearpod in a lesson is beneficial for student learning. Nearpod enhances the interactivity and engagement of a lesson by integrating multimedia content, quizzes, polls, and collaborative activities. Hughes and Roblyer (2023) noted how Nearpod supports interactive lessons, with “the teacher importing content, such as slides, graphics, virtual reality, videos, or simulations, and then adding close- or open-ended formative assessments” (p. 188). Nearpod syncs with various LMS such as Google Classroom, Schoology, and Canvas. Nearpod promotes collaboration through features like collaborative boards and shared activities, encouraging students to work together and learn from each other. Nearpod has an extensive library of lesson plans aligned with the standards or objectives of the curriculum.

Sukma et al. (2024) described Nearpod as an “innovative tool that facilitates differentiated instruction, employs student-tailored learning experiences, and offers immediate teacher feedback” (p. 2). The teacher feedback allows teachers to gauge student understanding and differentiate instruction. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest, Nearpod rates 9 out of 10 for its contribution to enhancing lessons, making them more engaging, interactive, and effective. The author did not want to give a rating of 10 as any technology could always be improved upon.
